Joyce Abeng, Birth Workers, The Doula Co-op

Joyce Abeng, MPH

Joyce Abeng is a Public Health Diversity Advisor at the Trudy Larson, MD Institute for Health Impact and Equity within the University of Nevada, Reno School of Public Health. Ms. Abeng has experience in program evaluation, program development, and program improvement, with a focus on diversity and health equity. In her previous roles, Ms. Abeng has served as a program officer, provider data analyst, and health care careers instructor. Her aim is to address and mitigate health disparities within maternal health.

Joyce is currently the DCNV Director of Research & Principal Investigator for the DOULA CO-OP’s first research study, Culturally Congruent Doula Care; The Missing Lens into Maternal Mental Health

Tracey Green, Birth Workers, The Doula Co-op

Tracey Green, MD

Dr. Tracey Green is a board certified family physician who has trained and spent her career in Nevada. Dr. Tracey has a passion for the underserved and currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer for Molina Healthcare Medicaid. She is committed to improving birth outcomes and is partnering with the Doula community to provide the much needed Doula support to Medicaid parents.

Diaz Dixon, Birth Workers, The Doula Co-op

Diaz Dixon

Diaz Dixon is the President and owner of Performance Driven Consulting. His focus is on evaluating and implementing strategies that increase sustainability, diversity, and impact. Dixon has been a highly respected community advocate for decades through his work as the Vice President for CommonSpirit Health National Foundation, the CEO of both Eddy House and STEP2, and his ongoing service on many foundation advisory boards.

James Clark, Birth Workers, The Doula Co-op

Jim Clark practiced law in So. California and retired to Incline Village in 1992.  He is admitted to the State Bar of California, practice before the US Supreme Court and the US Court of Military Appeals.  He served 32 years in the US Navy on active and reserve duty.  He retired as a captain in the Navy’s Judge Advocate (lawyer) corps.  He is active with a number of other charitable organizations in Incline Village and Reno including several non profits supporting the Hispanic community.
